Trump to Unveil Plans for an ‘Arab NATO’ in Saudi Arabia

While trying to help the Saudi’s (while helping ourselves), the US may actually help bolster a Middle Eastern confederation in its march against Israel as prophesied by Psalm 83.

When President Trump arrives in Riyadh this week, he will lay out his vision for a new regional security architecture White House officials call an “Arab NATO,” to guide the fight against terrorism and push back against Iran. As a cornerstone of the plan, Trump will also announce one of the largest arms-sales deals in history.

The idea of an “Arab NATO” has been bandied about for years — and has always had strong Saudi support — but until now was never openly endorsed by the U.S. government.

The president is looking for an answer to the question of how the United States can eventually hand over security responsibility in the region to the countries that are there, officials said.

Reports from the region about early discussions of the project said that in addition to Saudi Arabia, initial participants in the coalition would include the United Arab Emirates, Egypt and Jordan, with the United States playing an organizing and support role while staying outside the alliance.

The most concrete part of the idea is a mammoth U.S. arms package for Saudi Arabia that Trump will also announce in Riyadh. Final details are still being worked out, but officials said the package will include between $98 billion and $128 billion in arms sales. Over 10 years, total sales could reach $350 billion.

“From the U.S. perspective, the stronger the Saudi deterrent is, the lower the risk of any military confrontation with Iran.”

Is The US Prepared For A Nuclear EMP?

Most do not see how the US can come to an end much less how the mightiest nation the world has ever known be taken into slavery as the Bible prophesies.  Here is a feasible scenario:

An electromagnetic pulse (EMP) attack would be perfect for implementing Russia’s strategy of “de-escalation,” where a conflict with the U.S. and its allies would be won by limited nuclear use. It’s their version of “shock and awe” to cow the U.S. into submission. The same kind of attack is viewed as an acceptable option by China and North Korea as well.

An EMP attack would be the most militarily effective use of one or a few nuclear weapons, while also being the most acceptable nuclear option in world opinion, the option most likely to be construed in the U.S. and internationally as “restrained” and a “warning shot.”

Because EMP destroys electronics instead of blasting cities, even some analysts in Germany and Japan, among the most anti-nuclear nations, regard EMP attacks as an acceptable use of nuclear weapons. High-altitude EMP attack entails detonating a nuclear weapon at 30-400 kilometers altitude — above the atmosphere, in outer space, so high that no nuclear effects, not even the sound of the explosion, would be experienced on the ground, except EMP.

An EMP attack will kill far more people than nuclear blasting a city through indirect effects – by blacking out electric grids and destroying life-sustaining critical infrastructures like communications, transportation, food and water – in the long run. But the millions of fatalities likely to eventually result from EMP will take months to develop, as slow as starvation.

Thus, a nation hit with an EMP attack will have powerful incentives to cease hostilities, focus on repairing their critical infrastructures while there is still time and opportunity to recover, and avert national extinction.

Meanwhile…In Greece

The Greeks have not been happy with any of the “austerity” measures that have been imposed on them in exchange for bailout loans from the EU.  Don’t be surprised if they end up leaving the euro and the EU — though they will more than likely have a somewhat amicable relationship with their former cohorts anyway.

You know it’s bad when the police are rioting against the new austerity measures assigned from Brussels…

Members of of the Greek Police, the Fire Brigades and the Coast Guard marched to the Parliament on the general strike day protesting the new austerity package that will be voted on Thursday at the Parliament.

Three squads of riot police were deployed outside the Parliament to prevent their colleagues to enter the House.

What the Last Nuremberg Prosecutor Alive Wants the World to Know

Many professing Christians believe that is fine to go to war in spite of what the Bible says to the contrary.  Perhaps they need to answer only one question: is it OK to go to another country and kill someone that believes religiously the same way that you do?  In other words do you have a problem killing someone in your own church? This is exactly what could happen if they have the same view — that it is permissible to fight in war.

Ferencz believes “war makes murderers out of otherwise decent people” and has spent his life working to deter war and war crimes.

Well, if it’s naive to want peace instead of war, let ’em make sure they say I’m naive. Because I want peace instead of war. If they tell me they want war instead of peace, I don’t say they’re naive, I say they’re stupid. Stupid to an incredible degree to send young people out to kill other young people they don’t even know, who never did anybody any harm, never harmed them. That is the current system. I am naive? That’s insane.

Way More Americans May Be Atheists Than We Thought

Psalm 14:1

After signing an executive order earlier this month that seeks to relax restrictions on the political activities of tax-exempt churches, President Trump said the order was an important affirmation of the American identity. “We’re a nation of believers,” he said. Trump is right in one sense — 69 percent of Americans say a belief in God is an important part of being American — but he’s wrong demographically: Atheists constitute a culturally significant part of American society.

We’re not sure how significant, though. The number of atheists in the U.S. is still a matter of considerable debate. Recent surveys have found that only about one in 10 Americans report that they do not believe in God, and only about 3 percent identify as atheist. But a new study suggests that the true number of atheists could be much larger, perhaps even 10 times larger than previously estimated.

The study concludes that roughly one-quarter (26 percent) of Americans likely do not believe in God.
