Hebrews 12:6 FOR WHOM THE LORD LOVES HE CHASTENS, AND SCOURGES EVERY SON WHOM HE RECEIVES.”
Hebrews 12:7 If you endure chastening, God deals with you as with sons; for what son is there whom a father does not chasten?
Hebrews 12:11 Now no chastening seems to be joyful for the present, but painful; nevertheless, afterward it yields the peaceable fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.
In the first part Deuteronomy 28 we saw the blessings of promotion, victory, success, fruitfulness, prosperity and abundance that came with obedience to God.
What we also saw previously with the national blessings is that they would happen in the future, AFTER the return of Christ. With the cursings of a nation we will see that because mankind does not have the right heart, these cursings are already beginning to happen and will culminate BEFORE the return of Christ.
This is omething that happened historically and will happen again. It has happened in the past to the Israelites and now ALL OF THIS IS HAPPENING TODAY
There is something that the Pope admitted that he does not understand. If God is loving, why do bad things happen to people, in particular, the more innocent?
God wants a good relationship with us, but unconditional love does not mean that we will have a relationship with God no matter what we do. People use unconditional love as a way to say that no matter what they do, God will love and bless them unconditionally — as in God Bless America!
From the beginning there have been two ways, two sides to Deuteronomy 30:19. When we choose the wrong way, it is this sin that separates us from God — and His ability to blessing us. This will happen to us overall as a rule.
Not everything that is going to occur here will happen to every single person, but the nation as a whole will be affected greatly by these things.
Disobedience Leads to Punishment
Ancient Israel and Judah cursed: military attacks, when the Assyrians and the Babylonians besieged and conquered Samaria and Jerusalem and enslaved the two nations etc.
Deuteronomy 28:15 “But it shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:
Proverbs 26:2 Like a flitting sparrow, like a flying swallow, So a curse without cause shall not alight.
These are the things that God does to get our attention.
This is prophetic in this sense: God is telling the future of what is going to happen to this nation if it does not repent which is the main component of every prophetic message, God wants us to turn to Him.
Repentance is to stop going in the wrong direction and do a 180 degree turn to walk directly towards God.
Galatians 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Galatians 6:8 For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

This is for the future!
It begins by subjugating the people in ways other than forcefully making them slaves.
