Sighing and Crying

Do we have the mark on our foreheads that will identify us as God’s people?
Are we putting on the nature of God? Do we see and feel the way that God does about what is going on around us?

2 Peter 2:4  For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;
2 Peter 2:5  and did not spare the ancient world, but saved Noah, one of eight people, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood on the world of the ungodly;
2 Peter 2:6  and turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes, condemned them to destruction, making them an example to those who afterward would live ungodly;
2 Peter 2:7  and delivered righteous Lot, who was oppressed by the filthy conduct of the wicked
2 Peter 2:8  (for that righteous man, dwelling among them, tormented his righteous soul from day to day by seeing and hearing their lawless deeds);

The implication is if we act in the same way as those before us acted then we will receive the same judgment: to destruction or salvation

Ezekiel 9:4  and the LORD said to him, “Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of the men who sigh and cry over all the abominations that are done within it.”
Ezekiel 9:5  To the others He said in my hearing, “Go after him through the city and kill; do not let your eye spare, nor have any pity.
Ezekiel 9:6  “Utterly slay old and young men, maidens and little children and women; but do not come near anyone on whom is the mark; and begin at My sanctuary.” So they began with the elders who were before the temple.

There will be two marks in the end-time; this one and the mark of the beast.  We will be differentiated by our attitude towards the things going on the world around us.
Jeremiah 32:35  And they built the high places of Baal which are in the Valley of the Son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come into My mind that they should do this abomination, to cause Judah to sin.’

Are we putting on God’s attitude?

Are we keeping one foot in the world and one in the church?

2 Corinthians 6:17  Therefore “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”
